631 Chair Active Sensing Technology® Test and Repair
Be sure that all personnel and equipment are clear of the chair before activating any function. Failure to do so could result in personal injury.
To ensure proper operation of the Active Sensing Technology® the chair must be calibrated.
The Active Sensing Technology® prevents the headrest from moving within 12 cm (4.72 in) of the floor, the back cover from moving within 3.18 mm (.125 in) of the shrouds/column and within 1.25 cm (0.5 in) of the electrical cover. If the Active Sensing Technology® is activated, it will sound a series of “beeps” and disable the following functions: Base Down, Back Down, and Tilt Up
Note: The base will not be disabled for back cover to shrouds/column clearance.
The Active Sensing Technology® prevents the foot section from moving within 12 cm (4.72 in) of the floor when the foot extension is extended. If the Active Sensing Technology® is activated, it will sound a series of “beeps” and disable the following functions: Base Down, Tilt Down, and Foot Down.
The Active Sensing Technology® prevents the back section from moving within 1.25 cm (0.5 in) of the PC Board cover and 12 cm (4.72 in) during automatic motion (e.g. Home and Quick ChairTM). If the Active Sensing Technology® is activated, it will sound a series of “beeps” and disable the following functions: Base Down, Back Down, and Tilt Up.
