To install heating element:
Hold heating element firmly in position while tightening mounting nuts, or damage and improper positioning of heating element may result. Do not overtighten nuts!
Thermostats must be tight against chamber wall when assembled.
1.Clean gasket contact surfaces of chamber with Speed-Clean and a (nonmetallic) abrasive pad.
2.Slide new gaskets onto new heating element and position heating element in chamber.
3.Position thermostats and thermostat bracket and then insert brass and lock washers onto heating element terminals. Hand tighten mounting nuts.
4.Verify heating element is parallel to the chamber and level. Tighten mounting nuts with torque wrench to 18 Nm (13.25 ft-lb).
5.Bend heating element terminals slightly, back to their original 90° position.
6.Attach two wires to heating element and install inspection cover.
7.Turn sterilizer upright.
8.Connect power to sterilizer and fill water reservoir.
9.Run a fill cycle and then open the door and ensure the heating element is fully immersed in water. If not, adjust heating element and check levelness of sterilizer.
