Midmark M9® -05x / M11® -05x Sterilizer High-Limit Thermostats Replacement Test and Repair
To prevent risk of shock always disconnect power before removing covers or performing any service procedure.
Sterilizer or components may be hot or become hot. Wait until the sterilizer or components are cool to the touch before continuing service.

1.Disconnect power to sterilizer.
2.Drain water from reservoir.
3.Carefully lay sterilizer onto left side.
4.Remove screw and inspection cover.
5.Tag and disconnect wires from heating element and thermostats.
6.Remove mounting nuts, lock washers, brass washers, and thermostat bracket.
7.Remove thermostats from bracket.
1.Inspect heating element gaskets for damage. Replace gaskets, if necessary.
2.Position thermostats and thermostat bracket and then insert brass and lock washers onto heating element terminals. Hand-tighten mounting nuts.
3.Confirm heating element is parallel to the chamber and level. Tighten mounting nuts with torque wrench to 18 Nm (13.25 ft-lb).
4.Attach wires to heating element and thermostats.
5.Install inspection cover.
6.Turn sterilizer upright.
7.Connect power to sterilizer and fill water reservoir.
8.Run a fill cycle and then open the door and ensure the heating element is fully immersed in water. If not, adjust heating element and check levelness of sterilizer.
