222 Exam Table, 223 and 623 Table Base and Back Actuator Replacement

Caution

Unplug power cord before removing PC Board cover.

Caution

Use an assistant when laying / lifting table. Remove all accessories (chair arms, storage pod, etc.)

Base Actuator Replacement

Base Actuator

1.Remove table shrouds. Refer to:Table Shroud Removal.

2.Position table so that bottom of upperwrap is approximately 15 in. from floor.

If necessary, manually raise / lower table. Refer to:Table Shroud Removal

3.Remove PC Board cover.

4.Cut cable ties.

5.Disconnect base actuator motor wires.

6.Lay table down on LH side.

7.Remove clevis pin. Pull base out to its full extension. Pivot actuator toward head end.

8.Remove two nuts / hex bolts.

a.Newer models: Remove actuator. Unscrew retaining plate.

b.Older models: Remove U-plate. Unscrew actuator block from mounting block.

1.New Models: Thread retaining plate onto actuator block. Insert actuator thru mounting block. Secure retaining plate to mounting block.

1.Older Models: Thread actuator block 1/2 way down shaft. Thread actuator block into mounting block. Install U-plate.

2.Pivot actuator toward foot end. Push base together. Install clevis pin and clip ring.

3.Carefully lift table upright.

4.Connect base actuator motor wires.

Clamp must be installed over stripped portion of actuator wire.

5.Replace cable ties.

6.Replace PC Board cover.

7.Replace table shrouds. Refer to:Table Shroud Removal.

Back Actuator

Back Actuator

1.Remove outer shrouds. Refer to:Table Shroud Removal.

The inner and middle shrouds will drop down. It is not necessary to remove them.

2.Remove PC Board cover.

3.Disconnect back actuator motor wires.

4.Cut all cable ties.

5.Remove four screws securing top cover.

6.Remove top clevis pin.

7.Remove top cover.

8.Remove bottom clevis pin. Remove actuator.

1.Route motor wires. Install bottom clevis pin.

2.Slide top cover over actuator.

3.Install top clevis pin.

4.Secure top cover with four screws.

5.Connect back actuator motor wires.

6.Replace all cable ties.

7.Replace PC Board cover.

8.Replace shrouds.
