PowerVac G Vacuum Relief Valve Test and Repair
When working on Twin units, unplug parallel harness.
The VRV is located on the intake side of the pump. The VRV is installed as a precaution to keep the tank from over pressurizing past 18”Hg. Adjustment should only be checked/made if the unit is not going into sleep mode. This could mean the VRV is not working properly.
To Check and Adjust VRV
Use 1/4 inch nut driver and Phillips screwdriver. Each full clockwise turn increases the vacuum level by approximately 2 “Hg. VRV is factory set at 18”Hg. If unable to reach 18”Hg pressure setting, replace VRV.
1.Turn power off at on/off switch and disconnect box.
2.Access VRV by removing back cover. Refer to: Back Cover.
3.Unscrew VRV from Tee fitting.
4.Adjust the center mounted screw inside the valve.
5.Install VRV and back cover.
