255 Light Yoke Pivot Replacement Test and Repair
Note the order of all the washers and reassemble in their original positions.
Refer to: Lighthead Pivot Stop Replacement to remove / install yoke.
Removal
1.Remove screws from cover set.
2.Remove cover set.
3.Remove nut from the top of the assembly.
4. Remove screw and insert from pivot bearing.
5.Remove washers, shaft and pivot from yoke.
6.Inspect pivot for excessive wear. Replace if necessary.
7.Inspect mount on yoke. Replace if necessary.
Installation
Mounting hardware must be installed properly. Failure to do so may allow lighthead to fall, resulting in injury.
1.Install yoke and/or pivot (if needed).
2.Lubricate washers then install washers, shaft and pivot to yoke. Ensure shaft end matches correctly in yoke hole.
3.Install screw and insert to pivot.
4.Install nut to the top of the pivot assembly. Torque nut to 75 in-lb.
5.Install cover set.
6.Install screws to cover set.
