M9/M11 Sterilizer Heating Element Test and Repair
Some procedures require power to be connected with covers removed. Line voltage is present. Use extreme caution to prevent electric shock.

1.Back wire terminals slightly off J3 and J4 on PC board leaving them still attached.
2.Set meter to VAC.
3.Activate the Service Diagnostics mode.
4.Initiate the I/O Test.
5.Energize the Steam Heater. The heating element will energize for approximately 15 seconds, then shut off.
6.Place meter probes on J3 and J4 on PC board.

1.Remove the bottom cover.
2.Disconnect wires from heating element terminals.
3.Set meter to 200 Ω.
4.Place meter probes on heating element terminals.

This test must be done under a “loaded” condition leave terminals attached for an accurate reading.
1.Back wire terminals slightly off J3 and J4 on PC board leaving them still attached.
2.Set meter to VAC.
3.Activate the Service Diagnostics mode.
4.Initiate the I/O Test.
5.Place meter probes on J3 and J4 on PC board.
6.Energize the Steam Heater. LED D16 should light up. The heating element will energize for approximately 15 seconds, then shut off.
